Here are two examples of free Windows application programs that can restore you PC to the same condition as the day you saved the PC operating system image. Both have advantages and some trade offs. The user can select the best program for your purpose. There are many system imaging programs available other than these but at least start here.

The system imaging programs below will not fix your PC. Make a copy of your data files before restoring the the operating system. Better yet create separate partition (D:\_data) for all your data files so the restore process does not erase new personal data on the C:\ partition.
